| The piezocatalysis, a phenomenon of vibration exciting chemical reaction, is a promising water purification technology. In this project, the effect of BiFeO_3/Bi_2 WO_6 nanocomposite was estimated through the decomposition of the methyl orange dye (MO). The results reveal that the BiFeO_3/Bi_2 WO_6 (80:20) nanocomposite facilitates the degradation efficiency of MO solution compared to pristine BiFeO_3 and Bi_2 WO_6 . The enhancement is attributed to the electric field in the heterojunction which can separate the charge carriers effectively. |
