| Abstract Peptide Nucleic Acids (PNAs) are an important class of oligonucleotides. These molecules can attach to their complementary DNA or RNA strands and even form double strands (similar to DNA) together. Knowledge of the mechanism by which PNA interacts with RNA (or DNA) is important for the design and synthesis of PNAs. These studies can be performed using molecular dynamics simulations and make predictions about the strength of the interaction and the factors affecting it. |
