| The present work is a study in order to enhaused a improved oral bioavailability of the poorly water-soluble fenofibrate(FNB). for this purpose the physicochemical characterization of fenofibrate-βCD binary systems was carried out by ultraviolet-visible absorption,1 HNMR and fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR).phase solubility studies revealed 1:1 M complexation of fenofibrate with βCD.the dissolution study revealed that the drug dissolution rate was improved by the presence of β -CD as compared to pure drug.it is concluded that fenofibrate–βCD complexation results in an increase in the solubility and dissolution rate of the drug, suggesting a possible enhancement of its oral bioavailability |
