Preparation of Ni/g-C3N4 nanocomposite as electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction

چکیده مقاله

Developing stable and efficient electrocatalyst for hydrogen evolution reaction (HER) is greatly desirable for the production of hydrogen as a clean energy resource. Herein, we report a simple and effective approach to fabricate Ni/g-C3N4 elecrocatalysts, which can enhance the charge transfer rate and decrease the overpotential for HER. The optimized Ni/g-C3N4 sample shows a small onset potential of 0.1 V as well as low overpotential of -0.25 V at current density of 100 mA cm-2 and Tafel slope of 145 mV decade-1.
